Texas Bluebonnets

Wanted to share some of the pictures that were taken today. This is my second attempt so let's see what happens!

Kamden had fun throwing his football around the field. I thought it was lost for a minute there!

Kaijsa turns sweet 16 next Sunday. What fun for her! She is getting to be a great driver and I know the boys will be happy to ask her out.

Kaitlyn will turn 12 in May. She is a lot of fun to have here. She likes to read the same books as me and so that is fun for me.

Little Princess, Kinsee, would not stand alone today-- she didn't like the grass! So, still cute as can be this is just fine with me!

Rachel and Larry-- looking so nice! My sister has a birthday soon too!!!! Thanks for letting me take the pictures.

Totally different note, I watched the movie Eragon last night. I HATED it. It was too far from the story. So frustrating.

Museum

Life gets back to normal all too quickly. Work is work...
I am currently reading the Eragon series. It is good! It is easy reading (compared to Lord of the Rings)--anyway I do like it. I am in the second book, Eldest.
For my book club next month we are reading John Adams. I look forward to reading it, but know it will take me awhile to get through it.

Friday night I attempted to have Kamden and Kinsee spend the night. We got home and Papa had dinner ready. They had already eaten so Kinsee wasn't interested, but Kamden ate! Then we played and watched Sleeping Ubey (Beauty for those that don't speak 3 year old). Then I let them take a bubble bath and that was fun for them...until Kinsee fell. When it came time to go to bed Kamden wanted to go home... so I took them back home. It was fun.

Saturday I met a college friend and we went to the Dallas Holocaust Museum. It was a nice museum, small, not too overwhelming. Now I would love to go to the one in DC. We then went and ate at Chipotle. YUM. We are going to get together more often and do Dallas, Ft.Worth touristy things. Next is the Stockyards.

Although it is Spring this weekend has been COLD and windy. I hope the bluebonnets survive so we can take pictures in a field of bluebonnets!

Trip

I had a great trip to Utah. The weather was perfect and good times were had by all (I hope!) Thursday I arrived and had a great time with nieces and nephew. Got to eat at Cafe Rio. I just love that pork salad!!!! Friday I got to do some shopping and cooking. I learned what temp. to bake potatoes at and how to do a shredded pork meat for sandwiches or potatoes. It was wonderful to see friends from college. The kids keep growing! It is nice to catch up on life.
Saturday I got to ride the Heber Creeper. I saw lots of elk and a bald eagle! I had never seen a bald eagle before! It was a beautiful day and a nice ride through the mountains. I got to do more shopping and play some fun games! I need to use Rachel's wii more so I can do better next time!
Sunday I learned how happy I am with my family ward. Went with Darlene to her singles ward and it was a little crazy. I did run into some unexpected friends so that was fun! Perhaps I learned that I DO fit in in a family ward! (Yikes!) Got to see Darlene's family-- always nice to see them! And then I was off to Becky's.
Monday, Emily and I got pedicures and ate some frozen custard (YUM). I got to watch as Becky's 6 yr. old had his 2nd tooth pulled. I don't remember my Dad pulling out my teeth-- so this was an experience! Josh did great! He was so pleased when the tooth fairy had come during the middle of the night!
Tuesday I enjoyed a breakfast of green eggs and ham. I also had green orange juice! Got to love crazy holidays.
It is nice to be home (I look forward to sleeping in my own bed!) But I sure miss my friends and family in Utah!!! I will come back soon!

Yard Work

So this last weekend I got to work in the yard. I love getting my hands dirty! I pulled some nasty weeds...planted flowers...(some like the picture here) trying to get the flowerbeds the way Mom used to.. or at least not neglected looking! I now know why she was in the yard everyday. My muscles were sore from all that work!
I get to leave for Utah soon! I am so excited. I think my excitement has caused insomnia--or wait-- maybe it is that stupid time change we go through. Needless to say I am running on not a lot of sleep... time for bed!

March

Is this the month that comes in like a lion and goes out like a lamb? I don't love the cold front that is here right now. I do like the 80* we have when the warm front is here! Time to keep those toenails painted!
Work has picked up quite a bit. We had 7 tests on Sat. so that was a little crazy. I am definitely looking forward to Spring Break. My boss gave me a spa gift card so when I come back from Utah I will have to go pamper myself!
Had a game night at church on Friday. I had fun. I got to win a game of Rummykub, work on a puzzle and play a game called Slide 5??? It was pretty easy and fun.
I did some shopping this week and got some cute clothes. Went to Ulta and can never seem to get in and out with JUST what I need, but I did do a lot better than I normally do.
Had my first book club discussion on Friday. We read The Hiding Place It was a really good book. A lot of lessons learned. For March we are reading Eragon I have heard mixed things about it.. or mostly that is was good. I will save it for the plane. (11 days) I think I will read So Yesterday soon.
Got the mouth guard. Seems to be working.Jaw still not back to normal, but it is better!

Ramblings

I got to go to my sister's ultra sound today-- The doc was off delivering a baby so we had to wait an HOUR and a HALF!!!! ugh. But the wait was worth it-- we will be welcoming a baby girl in July. Even though Rachel as delivered 2 weeks early I am so hoping she has this little one on the 3, 4, or 5 of July-- to celebrate with FIREWORKS!!!
I think I am a hypochondriac-- lots of people around me have been sick and I have been healthy, but I really feel a sore throat coming on. And I might have a weird rash on my arms.
I am still waiting for my mouth guard to come in. I clinch my teeth at night--so my jaw is out of alignment (since new years).. yesterday i got a stiff neck so that is fun. Aren't you so glad to know these things? I guess since I am single I can tell EVERYONE about my health issues :-)
For Valentine's Day I went to the movie Confessions of a Shopaholic with my sis and her hubby... then the family went to watch BYU basketball. That was fun!I am just glad BYU won!! oh-- the movie was cute too.
