Snow in TEXAS!

It has been fun to have all the snow. It is interesting watching people attempt to drive in the snow. One truck kept trying to make its own path-- hello-- use the one that everyone else has used and you will stop sliding onto the shoulder/grass!

You will also see a picture of my nameless dog. I seem to be calling her dog quite a bit. I just don't think she is "Lady". Maybe because she makes me so mad. She likes to run off, sleep on my furniture, and wake me up 2 times a night to go to the bathroom. I was SHOCKED this morning when I woke up at 7 and she hadn't bothered me at all during the night!

Our power was out for 24 hours. That made life fun. When I got home Thurs. I decided I would just work all day Friday and shovel the driveway. Well after an hour and not getting very far I called the Elders to see if they would help. They came-- in their suits, no hats, gloves, or boots and shoveled. One Elder is from the Seattle area so he knew what to do. The other Elder is from Sacramento (a Tongan) and had no idea what he was supposed to do! Dad came home and we all had dinner. When we were ready for the dessert the power went out. The house was okay Thurs. night. Fri. when I woke up I knew I would have to come up with plan B for work. I went to my friend, Richard's house and got stuck trying to turn into his driveway. He had to borrow a neighbor's shovel to get me out of the road. I worked for 2 1/2 hours from his house and called my boss. There was nothing else I could do out of the office. So, I went to firestone and had my oil changed. Ran a few errands. Went to Rachel's house and held either Kinsee or Kaileigh. It was fun. The kids were loving the snow. I went back home around 7 and the power was STILL out... so, I was packing my stuff up to stay at my visiting teaching partner's house when FINALLY the power came back on.

School-- had a "final's" week. (Every 6 weeks we start a new round of classes). I got A's and a few A+'s. I think I will have one low grade of a B. The teacher I have had this whole time moved this weekend so it should be interesting this next week to see how the class handles a change in teachers. Maybe she can teach some student's respect.... No real good class stories.

I'm glad you came over! Thanks for taking snow pics of the kids for me. You're the best sister ever!
