Family History

I am trying to---learn family history. I am 4-5 weeks in to my class at church... I still don't know very much except that there is a lot to learn. Did you know new family search is not new? It is the church's old version. family search---family tree is the new and improved site... not too sure about improved. Some lady in Aug changed my grandpas name! Really? I have changed it back -- but wonder if I need to email her and ask her who she is and why did she do that? And then a really cool site find a grave-- some man with the last name Eoff put my Grandma Pullen's death info and picture up... my Dad has NO idea who he is... my poor family. We don't know each other and have no idea what is going on. I assume my mother knew this guy because she is linked to my grandma-- oh the things my mother passed away knowing and I didn't find out! The other thing-- because of identity theft-- living people can't be linked on family tree-- so I have to add all my siblings and living family info if I want it to show up on the site! grrr...

Today I did discover some unknown relative!!! I love the indexing program of the church! Because of an 1880 census I have found people!! So maybe I can get a small amount of relatives figured out and this Summer we can have an Eoff reunion and go to the temple!

This week I learned that BOTH of my bosses are leaving. My Massage Envy boss is going to open a new M.E. and will be gone by March 1. I am not too sad about that. She kind of drives me crazy. My Spa boss is moving to New York. His last day is Feb. 23. I am sad about that. I really liked working for a LDS boss. He hopes to have a replacement before he leaves, but I guess his hiring process was an ordeal. So-- I hope I have 2 new good and nice bosses.

The diet-- going well. I lost 2 pounds the first week. Doesn't seem like much, but it's a start. It was a rough first week. I am finally thinking of meals that don't require carbs.. (chili, tacos without the shell, etc) It is kind of a pain to cook all the time, but at least it is healthy. I did have 1 relapse day.... the cafeteria at work is usually really good--- and they don't put out desserts very often, well on Sat. they did-- and I chose not to resist a gourmet s'more...a banana mini cupcake, and some coconut awesomeness... .they were all bite size...and to die for. I wanted to eat the whole tray...ugh. I love sweets!!!! And then on Sat since I had already screwed up--- I was hungry and after dealing with Sprint for an hour I was in no mood to cook so I went to Rubios and had 2 fish tacos. I didn't eat the shell, but the fish was battered. A little greasy, but good. I didn't eat the rice either. So-- not too bad of a mess up. Back on the wagon today!

I got Haven season 1 and 2 in the mail on Wed.... I am almost done with season 1. I am LOVING it!!!

I am reading Richard G. Scott's book "Finding Peace, Happiness, and Joy". It is very good. I am definitely taking my time with it.

No picture this week-- I'll try for something next week :-)
